Eager to respond to a demonstrated need for the development of social organizations, NPI introduced the incubator model into Shenzhen,. Registered on Jaunary 8th, 2010, NPI Shenzhen is the operational party of Shenzhen Social Organizations Incubator Experimental Base.

On March 1st, 2010 the first six local NPOs officially entered the incubation phase. Not only did NPI Shenzhen offer incubation services to them, it also provided additional support for four organizations which already had office space, including capacity building, strategy consultation, organization screening and building of resources platform.

In consideration of Shenzhen’s social system innovation, NPI Shenzhen collaborated with many parties to provide capacity building training to local NPOs, as well as planning NPO project exhibitions and community services platforms.In March 2011, it hosted the second NPO Projects Exhibition.
